A Community of Self-Care: Counselor Health and Client Well Being

The purpose of this law and ethics workshop is to draw attention to the current status of counselor self-care related conversations – the current body of knowledge, applicable legal and ethical standards, and common trends in sanctions by state ethics boards – for counselors practicing in Washington State. Specific recommendations at multiple levels (theoretical, state, professional community, and individual clinician) will be offered. This workshop is non-credit bearing and does not transfer into any program offered at Argosy University, Seattle, 2601-A Elliott Ave. Fee: $75 – $50 for Argosy University Alumnus and Chemical Dependency Professionals of Washington State members.
