This workshop will cover new counselor opportunities to co-locate in primary care centers or serve as specialty private practice or community mental health referral resources, and the skills needed to effectively communicate and collaborate within an integrated healthcare model. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires the creation of patient-centered primary care homes that integrate behavioral health services into the fabric of their day-to-day operations.
