Attendees will be encouraged to explore why and how cultural diversity is critical in formulating treatment approaches and being person-centered. Types of racism, bias, and discrimination will be presented. Attendees will be provided resources and information on combating implicit biases and using culturally affirming strategies with clients to identify their experiences with racism, bias, and discrimination. Explore the benefits of being a culturally humble practitioner who demonstrates cultural competence in clinical interactions.
