November 2-3. Promoting Maternal Mental Health During Pregnancy  Seattle  WA  

This workshop addresses the importance of helping the pregnant woman achieve a healthier mental and emotional state during pregnancy. Training covers issues critical to the development of the early mother-child relationship including high-risk pregnancies, unresolved grief & loss, and women experiencing depression or other mental health disruptions. Fee: $395
November 4. Introduction to Infant Mental Health Workshop. U of W Campus This workshop will discuss how an infant’s positive attachment to his primary caregivers protects the developing brain and is the foundation for healthy social, emotional and cognitive development. Topics covered include toxic stress & trauma, attachment theory & parenting behavior, cultural humility, early social-emotional needs and baby cues. Fee: $60 This 1-day workshop counts towards meeting some of the competencies needed to qualify forWA-AIMH endorsement®. See WA-AIMH’s website (wa-aimh.org).
