Gifted individuals, as well as asynchronous/twice exceptional children and adults, may be at heightened risk of developing an addiction to gaming. In order to create more accurate treatment planning, the unique presentation of giftedness and gaming need to be parsed out. This presentation will be organized around a strengths-based, ecological model of identity formation used by the Detroit Center for Identity Potential.
