The Dynamics and Skills of Clinical Supervision: An interactional approach

The focus of this workshop will be on method – what the supervisor does in interaction with staff. The four phases of work (preliminary, beginning, work, and ending/transitions) will be used to organize the discussion. Essential skills in communication, relationship, and group leadership will be described and illustrated. Lawrence Shulman is a Professor Emeritus and former Dean of the School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo. Meets the WA DoH requirement to be a supervisor to social work license candidates.
